Verified Grades
Material arrives with its mill test certificate showing composition and mechanical properties. What your specification called for is what you can prove at inspection.
Dates We Can Hold
We quote the delivery date we can actually meet rather than the one that wins the order. A slip reaches you before it reaches your programme.
Cut to Your List
Send your cutting schedule with the enquiry and it is priced as part of the order. The offcuts and the labour both stay with us.
Grades Held in Stock
The grades and sections ordered most often are held rather than indented. Anything outside that range is sourced with the lead time stated up front.
Our Process
Share Your Requirement
Send the grade, size, quantity and any cutting list. A drawing or a specification sheet is ideal, but a description is enough to start with.
Get a Quotation
We confirm availability, price the material and the cutting together, and give you a delivery date we can hold rather than an optimistic one.
Confirm the Order
Once you approve the quotation the material is allocated to you. Any documentation your inspection process needs is arranged at this point, not at despatch.
Delivery
Material is delivered to site or works on the agreed date, with its test certificates. Loads are sequenced so what you need first comes off the lorry first.
Our Story
jay supplies steel to contractors working across and the surrounding region. We hold stock in the grades and sections our customers order regularly, so an urgent requirement does not have to wait on a mill. Every consignment leaves with the documentation that material needs, because a job that fails inspection costs far more than the steel did. If we cannot meet a date we say so before you plan around it.
